is it possible to install a circular ku band in a c band lnb ?

sorry is it possible to install a circular ku lnb in a c band dish 10 ft ?
Do you mean install physically? Of course it is possible! You just need another holder. But if you mean reception..... than it is also possible but performance of system will not be so perfect.

If you want to receive circular KU with a prime focus reflector, purchase a KU feedhorn/waveguide designed for illuminating a prime focus type reflector (with lower FD ratio) and a circular KU LNB (or circular and linear combo).

Circular KU LNBFs for the subscription services are designed for offset type reflectors (higher FD ratios). Mounting one of these LNBFs on a larger prime focus dish will result in seeing only a portion of the reflector surface.

Invacom is no longer making the c-120 flange mount circular/linear KU QPF-031 and they are harder to find. The c-120 feedhorns are usually found on EBay.

Thanks a lot for your information

Hi its a easy job to do a modification on a offset lnb it will work well,

If you don't do the modification with a circular lnb you need to make and install a plate.

My bad, those areny circular

It would depend on what model you are using.

Description
The Corotor II Plus and Corotor II Plus
Wideband are designed for systems
which require reception of both C and
Ku-Band signals. The Corotor II Plus is
primarily for reception
of satellites in the
United States while the Corotor II Plus
Wideband is used throughout Europe,
the Middle East and North Africa. Both
feedhorns feature Chaparral'
s patented probe for C-Band,
reception and a unique low-lo
ss dipole antenna for Ku-Band
reception. The dipole is virtua
lly invisible to the C-Band probe,
resulting in superior C-Band per
formance while improving Ku-
Band illumination. Both
the probe and the dipole are
controlled by a Chaparral servo mo
tor, providing infinite skew
adjustments and quick selection of horizontal and vertical
poles.
The Corotor II Plus receives linear C-Band signals in the 3.7-
4.2GHz range and linear Ku-Band signals in the 11.7-
12.7GHz range. The Corotor II Plus Wideband is for
receptions of circular and lin
ear C-Band signals in the 3.4-
4.2GHz range and linear Ku-Band signals in the 10.95-
12.75GHz range. The Corotor II Plus Wideband features a
new low loss dielectric plate. T
he new dielectric plate provides
a lower noise temperature and
improved cross polarization.
The Corotor II Plus features chip-resistant powder paint,
waterproof gaskets and connectors for protection against the
environment. Built in the Chapar
ral tradition of quality, the
Corotor II Plus is the ideal
choice for systems which require
reliable performance.

This may not be the answer you are looking for but figured I'd throw it out there. I played around with different options Ku on my C-band dish and came to the conclusion it sucked compared to just adding a separate Ku dish.
