Just wondering I have a Primestar 75E on a 2100 motor I can pick up Hispasat to G10, I believe the dish is 36X33. I may be able to pick up a Primestar 84E dish this week and was wondering if its worth the trouble to put the 84E on the motor instead of the 75E. I dont have problems, at least not yet, with rain fade so is it worth the time and effort to switch them out.

actually i think it depends on you . if you have everything set and are getting a good enough signal then let it be. but if you need a couple of SQ points to gain a lower strength tp then go for it. i think i would set it up for a play/tinker satellite dish :) and leave the main one already setup alone.

if you develope rain fade problems then a can of rain shield should improve the situation.

I'm in Ohio and pretty fortunate not to have too many trees around me. I'm thinking about just getting it anyway and then maybe down the road connecting it up. The only real problem is redoing the homemade bracket job I did, took a few days to get it all in sink.
