It appears the Reader App will not be further updated, as they have done nothing to fix longstanding bugs.

Tapatalk just put a new version in our queue and it was submitted to Apple. I believe we are just waiting for them to approve it.
Well the new version of the app was rejected by Apple for using old API's.
I am told another version will be submitted within the next 48 hours to Apple.
Here were the release notes for the last version they submitted and that was rejected.
iOS BYO 7.1
