The following web site, http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-844-405-4868, contains posts from people who have received a call from this number. It appears that the calls are from a DTV "reseller" who is a third party trying to drum up business. This web site is great for researching any phone number to determine if it is a scam.
Thanks for the link, I will answer next time and tell them to not call me as I only deal directly with DirecTV themselves when I call them.
I've had problems with scammers calling me. The problem with some of them is, is that they keep constantly calling and the number keeps changing. Can't these people get lives?
Yea every 3-4 weeks they change Numbers since that is about the same amount of times it takes for a do not call complaint to be investigated.
www.nomorobo.com works wonders with these types of calls. Free but limited to phone systems capable of simultaneous ring.
