"Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr says Internet service providers shouldn't have to list every fee they charge."

So much for pricing transparency!!!

Well, there is this from the proposal:

"We seek comment on whether providers should instead display on the label the aggregate amount of such fees."

So, you would still see the total amount of the fees, just not broken out into a list of each one. Seems reasonable to me.

Depends how they define a fee...Some ISPs charge rental fees for modems and routers.. This could be a sneaky way to increase rental costs for equipment without the customer realizing what is going on...If it's just some silly government fees that would be ok

Will they be required to disclose the total amount charged at the time that services are ordered?

"oh your bill went up because the FCC 911 fee went from $3 to $14 sorry!"

That actually happened when the NY mafia bilked people out of millions from a small Missouri rural telephone company in the town I used to live in.

Roku ultra price drops to $69 for a limited time
