Ill be going on vacation for a couple of weeks. Any issue with powering down the joeys? The hopper will still be on, so i can still record stuff.

The Joey's probably use about a dime a month each in electricity in standby mode. Why not just leave them plugged in. That and there are software updates that might need to happen and that can't happen when they are de-powered.
There shouldn't be any issues with just powering them down for a few weeks except for possible software updates that Bobby mentioned.
The power hogs are the remote controls that would kill themselves trying to find the Joeys that you unplugged.
Yep, I found that out the hard way. All my remotes had dead batteries when i returned from an extended vacation. I now remove the batteries from the remotes when I'm gone for extended periods.
