I remember going to see him pitch with the Triple-A Padres on a rehab assignment in the early sixties. My dad said that was a rare treat for us to see a major league pitcher at work.

Yeah it sucks that he could have made it while he was alive.

i concur he should have been voted in when he was alive. but i would much rather he get his due, even if he isn't here to enjoy.
