Joey 3 won't link to H3

After years of service, the Joey 3 suddenly won't link to the H3. The message "searching for the hopper" appears. The Joey 3 seems to know the H3 is there because a reboot of the H3 and the message on the Joey changes to "lost broadband connectivity". Then, when the H3 boots up, the searching for hopper message reappears. Has the Joey 3 gone bad?

It's rare that joeys go bad. Most likely a bad connection or cable. If you have other joeys can swap them and see if issue follows or stays in same location.

Problem solved. For some unknown reason, the H3 lost its internet connection. Once I restored it, the J3 linked. I'm not certain why the J3 required the internet to be connected for it to link to the H3, but that's what happened.
