As some of you may recall I promised to mention it here if I tried again to upgradetoa Joey 4 w/o an installer/ sales ca;;. Well I tried again and I was turned down.
Assuming you were trying to upgrade to a leased Joey 4? If you had a purchased one, I doubt the CSRs would care and would simply activate it.As some of you may recall I promised to mention it here if I tried again to upgradetoa Joey 4 w/o an installer/ sales ca;;. Well I don't have a purchased one.Assuming you were trying to upgrade to a leased Joey 4? If you had a purchased one, I doubt the CSRs would care and would simply activate it.
And the odds are that Dish will not lease you a Joey 4 without a Hopper+. If you purchase a Joey 4 they will undoubtedly activate it for you without the Hopper+. The other thing you could do is order the Joey 4 and Hopper+ from Dish and then refuse the plus when the installer goes to install it. Or, let him install it and then disconnect it after he is gone. The Joey 4 will work just fine without the plus. If you choose to do that there is a procedure to follow to get the Hopper to initiate itself as a plain Hopper 3.Well I don't have a purchased one.
Maybe I was not clear about what I wá trying to but since the point was to avoid the install which they admit is more of a sales call than a necessary install I do not think I will do thatAnd the odds are that Dish will not lease you a Joey 4 without a Hopper+.
