Started becoming a major problem a few days ago. Out of nowhere our wireless Joey will become unlinked. We have been having to reboot it from the diagnostics menu. Last night it linked itself back up before I could reboot it. Have never had it do this before. Seems like it’s doing it at least once every evening now.

We have a H3 running H301 software and a wireless Joey running W206.

There is a software issue that's driving us nuts with Wireless Joeys unlinking. When it happens, on the Hopper, if you hit the Home button 3 times to get to the Diagnostics screen, then go to #4 for Whole Home, I bet AP isn't showing. Replacing the AP has been the most used fix

Hey, lgb0250!

Our department doesn't have the ability to access your account to do any troubleshooting, but, if you will contact our Chat team here: Direct Chat they will be able to check the software and some things with the access point to help get this resolved.

Was there a resolution to this issue? I recently started seeing the “Verify Hopper is turned on etc” message on our wireless joey tv. Press Home 3x to see it’s usually unlinked. Seems to be a H.I.C. issue rather than an AP one but not sure.

Started happening to me now too. It came out of nowhere. My wireless joey is incredibly slow (as if it wasn’t slow enough already), constantly disconnects and sometimes takes multiple reboots to fix. Never had issues until last several weeks.

What software version do you have on your Joey? If you don't already have the new version, then you should see it start to roll out to more receivers beginning next week.

When do you expect the new software to roll out?
Maybe as soon as this coming Monday. (5/17) My sister got the new Wally software on 5/10, and she usually gets new software versions about a week before they are released to everyone else. Dish tends to do a major release for all Wally, Hopper, and Joey models at the same time, so I expect they will all also be updated next week.

The update in March for the Wireless Joey had been J201, with the Wireless Access Point updating to W206 around that time. Expect the new Wireless Joey software update to be around J205 (based on the Wally version jumping from W501 to W505).

I did the 305 update on my H3, and the wireless Joey got the J205 but the wireless AP has W152. How can I force it to take the W206? It says it is available in the menu screen.

Sorry, I should have been more clear about the Wireless AP. There are two different models. The OP listed having W206, so I only mentioned that version. Both W152 and W206 are current versions (depending on which model AP you have). Here is the software release chart from the sticky thread:
Wj Access PointW2.063/5/2020
Wj Access PointW1.523/5/2020
Wj Access PointW2.058/15/2018
Wj Access PointW1.518/15/2018

As you can see, Dish does not update the software on these very often, so you probably still have the most recent version available for your model.

We have had multiple customers complaining of this recently, even our showroom unit has been doing it.

1 customer had 2 joeys, that would always go off at the exact same time, so it really couldn't be the Joeys. He went through 4 different access points, then we tried a new Hopper3, he's still having the problem. We told him, sorry, there is nothing more we can do.... (he doesn't want wired joeys)

Another customer we had to do a DIU to a Joey 3 and run wire where he didn't want it...

It is becoming quite annoying.

One customer said he found people saying it is a conflict with their router, and replacing that fixed it. I am trying to get the models of their routers to see if they are the same.
