uhf 31.1, i have been receiving this channel for 4 years from 35 miles away with great success, now its like it dosent exist anymore, lost it about a month ago, tried periodic rescans, wondering if anyone knows anything about that
 
Sorry to take so long to reply. Haven't visited here in a while.

I know the consulting engineer that handles CBS' facilities in markets where they own stations. He told me in July that KCBS had moved back to their original tower, shared with KDOC. They are at a lower elevation on that tower but their signal focuses better on the L.A. basin.

My guess is that your receiving antenna is now terrain blocked from where KCBS is now, so as far as you are concerned they might as well not exist.
