Is anyone getting any programs on Satmex 5 on Ku Band.
I'm using a BSC 621-2 Universal LNB.
I'm hitting about 30 to 32 transponders, however, I do not get any programs on the Ku side.
I receive plenty on C band.
I'm using a 10 ft dish along with a Captive Works 800 Receiver.
I thought it may be my LNB, but , I am getting Ku Band on other sats.,

SATMEX 5

what's your location, I'm in CT 41.4N 73.4W and when I scan on my 36" KU Dish I only pick up 5 TP's but my rec spits back one ch. listed as Latin America but the ch. isn't watchable, if you're farther south and west you might get some chs.
I have a Mercury II and QPH031 LNB

I think your doing it right...
Settings for your BSC621-2 should be:
Code:
LO: Universal or 10600
22kHz: Auto or ON
DiSEqC: 1.0
DiSEqC port: 2
I was surprised dfecarter was able to lock BYU International where his location says he is. Then I checked satbeams.com/footprints. No more surprise.
My Coolsat 5000 can only lock the Hugesnet data transponders which are on the North American Ku beam, even with a 8.5' solid. First transponder I ever saw above 72%Q too...:o

According to the footprint (take with large lump of salt :p)
dfecarter needs 110cm dish for the main beam.
Blue Crystal needs a 90cm for the main Ku beam.
I'm just outside the main Ku beam but I'm fine if I want to use 116.8 for Hugesnet.
