Wow, any release notes? I'm still at 2.35, did the 2.38 break anything?

I'm sure 2.38 broke something. Otherwise, they wouldn't have stopped releasing it before it went widespread.

me too...? :( Really behind the times

They are barely releasing it before they pull it from the stream. You still have one of the five current versions so you're fine. As long as you have 235, 236, 237, 238 or 239, you're considered current.

2.39 Here, but I don't know what the difference between it and 2.38.

Did 2.38 have Inactivity Standby? Menu-8-8

Or the 'Porn Star Syndicate' Picture in Dish Mobile? :p

Sharper Image still has the same ol' crap... errr.. products.

That's all I've noticed.

Just goes to show you how much I pay attention to all the little bells & whistles. If it plays and records, I am happy.

Everything else is FLUFF!

no 'Menu-8-8' in 2.35... How's it work? is it enable/disable or set a time period?

Thanks, Steve

It has two options: Disable/Enable and the Inactivity Duration (in hourly increments from 4-8).

Thanks...

Any changes to NBR menus or more specifically setting defaults for start / end padding ? I don't know if I'm in the minority or what, but it's probably less than 5% of the time that I want to set any padding to a recording. Usually I want 0 and 0.

Thanks again, Steve

Not that I'm aware of.

I needed to reboot my 522 this morning. I bet I must have gotten 2.39. I once asked a tech support person if I needed to reboot when I got an update, and he said no, but in every case I have had to within a day for some reason or another.

This morning I could change channels, look at the guide, see the PVR list, but could not get an actual program to show on my screen. A reboot fixed all that.

Oh, and for those of you who are still at 2.35 or 2.36, you are really not missing anything. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I would assume not, cause my 522 is working fine on 2.36.

I agree! L2.36 is, by far, the best release I've ever had. No a/v sync issues! Virtually no audio drops.

I don't think it "worked" correctly. I disabled mine.

Just an aside, due to the high heat in our area, my 522's fan is on quite frequently these days.

Still on 2.36

I'm still on 2.35, but now it only takes one push to wake it up, but to use TV2, I have to start and stop the DVR on that side, or I get no picture, nor can I record. This is getting beyond VERY strange! It will likely need a reboot when I get time. This is a replacement box which, up to now, has been better than the first.
