L4.44 fixes seagate problems?

For some reason, L4.43 fixed my seagate problem of not waking up the HD. Prior to 4.43 I got that 'call this 800# to order Ext HD" message when i tried to access the HD the first time after a reboot(daily update).

Wow, all they have to do is send the wake-up command.
Seagates have, for years, had a power-management problem where they fall asleep at the wrong times, but they always wake up when told to.
I just removed a Seagate from my Windows XP computer because it falls asleep well before the 2-hour timeout that I configured it for. The computer freezes for the 5 to 10 second spin-up time and it's completely unacceptable.
It's too bad this is happening to DiSH Network. Power management is crucial in these DVRs for heat management and these problems should have been already solved during the product testing phase.

This is in reference to external USB drives, not the internal drive.
