I have an older toshiba laptop. The battery was bad so I bought a replacement. It wouold show a full charge but it would not run off of the battery. I company I bought the battery from replaced it and told me to make sure I had an updated bios which I did. I'm still having the same problem. Any ideas before I take it into the shop.

No, but I'm having some difficulties with slow startup to bios boot screen. New battery did not help. So if you get a fix for yours, please post it, it may help some of us.

Check the pins on the battery and the pins in the battery compartment of the laptop, its possible that one is bent or stuck not allowing for full connection so that the laptop can run on the battery.
