Last day to order Welcome Pack is Jan 31

I just called Dish and downgraded from AT100 to the Welcome Pack. The CSR said something I hadn't heard before: the last day to order the Welcome Pack is Jan 31. She said it would continue to be available to customers who already had it after the 31st.

Isn't that the $9.99 package? I thought they just started that package not long ago. Sounds like whoever is in charge at Dish is on weed or the CSR you talked to is.

they told me the same thing today.. i had called to downgrade to the welcome pack since i am having financial issues and he told me that 1/31 was the last day to order it..

Why on earth would they just start a package just to take it away? Are they nuts?

It is still available. We ordered it the first week in Feb. had it installed on 2/12/09. Installed a Dish 500 and used 381 receiver for $149, then $9.99/mo. We opted for autopay and that qualified us for Cinemax for a year for 1 cent.
