Lost my Locals..Did Los Angeles move ?

[eddiew]

Lost my Los Angeles Locals. Trying to figure out if its an equipment problem or not. Are they now spot beamed ? I don't actually live in L.A.
Thanks.

[osu1991]

Yes spot beamed a couple of days ago.

Anything left on the West Coast where I could move to ?

No ConUS HD locals on the left coast. Everything is spotbeamed. There are some ConUS locals on 118.7W and 77W. See The List at "The List" tab at the top of the page.

LOL, guess you will have to "move" back home...

Lost my Los Angeles Locals.

wouldnt it actually be "I lost the LA locals" because

I don't actually live in L.A.
Thanks.

yep. They all moved to spotbeam. Better fire up the u-haul and "move" closer to your location

[Slamminc11]

LOL, that was what I was thinking.

Personally I have no sympathy for anyone who chose to "move" and now have lost the locals they "moved" to. But that may just be me.

[sleepybear]

Anyone know the reason for the moves?

[eddiew]

I'm not really looking for sympathy ! Just answers. THANKS

Anyone know the reason for the moves?

Because with the new satellite they could.

You don't need to worry about that; you won't get much sympathy here!

U-Haul: Your moving and self storage resource for truck rentals, trailers, self storage facilities, and moving supplies

[osu1991]

The only answer is look for a spotbeam that hits your area or get a dish for 77 or 118.7 as those locals are still conus

I wasn't meaning you specifically (which is why I didn't use your post to quote) I meant anyone in general, because there are a whole lot of people out there who tried to play the game, and now the view of the game has changed...

I have no issues with people moving. But its the ones who piss and moan because they lose "their" channels because Dish spotbeamed them

Ya better move closer then

I too lost my LA Locals...but only the HD versions...the SD channels are still up and running in the 8000 range. I get my local/locals through OTA but I need more news programming from the Big City than my rural stations (3 of them) can provide. I'd miss my news over losing LA HD.

[jself1982]

I also had the LA locals and I am on the east coast, but its no biggie to me I knew it was coming sooner or later. Maybe Directv has a locals only package...then I might be moving to rural West Virginia!! LOL.

The SD spotbeam for LA is on 119 which was alot bigger than the HD spotbeam. The SD one covers from Mexican border up to almost San Fran

they don't. You need their basic package which is like 30-35 bucks
