Lcd tv does not detect MICRO HD

Finally got the mine today, however disappointed when the lcd tv would not detect the micro.
Tried 2 different lcd sets with 2 different hdmi cables. AV was also not detected.
Power and usb lights are on but screen is blank...very frustrating.
Just wondering if any one has a similar problem or knows of a solution.

Plug in the composite cable that comes with it, then go in and change the settings to 720p, its possible your TV does not handle 1080p which I believe is the default setting. Then try the HDMI again.

do what Scott says....some of the units are defaulted to 1080p. Use the RCA cables to temporarily use 480i (which that is defaulted to on those cables) and switch it to 720p.

Then load the newest software as posted in the stickies. The default for that software is 720p which will work fine on your HDTV

If your LCD can handle 1080p60, the picture quality is breathtaking from the micro at that resolution.

It smooths out jaggies very well ...

Up and running now with a menu screen in 720p. Both 42" LG (42LH) and 26" ocalypso (CLP-26LC1A) will not detect either in RCA (AV) or 1080. Finally tried a third older model TV and was able to get a menu with AV connection.

So I am good to go, thanks for all the help.

thats weird it didnt detect the a/v cables. Make sure the 1/8" plug is pushed all the way in the back of the Micro
