Will anyone tell me if a lnb off a dish 500 legacy, (the one with two eyes in one box) will work with a fta box?

They're typically referred to as a 'monoblock' and as was mentioned, they don't offer much in the realm of FTA. Considering your signature shows that you have a Dish500 pointing at 110/119 then must be using one already. 110/119 are the only satellites worth pointing at with a monoblock for the few channels you'll get.

....just remembered that the Dish500 is a Y-adapter not a monoblock. Doesn't change much in my answer though.

ok i can get bot sats now but all the vidoe channels say no video signal yet the chaneel is there and the transpoinder is ocked.

If I recall correctly, the older monoblock "twins" will NOT work with FTA receivers, but the DPs will (provided you have blind scan to deal with the stacked frequencies, or a lot of patience and a calculator to edit each transponder manually  )

What i did

was take two old lnbs from a dish 500 put them in there and used 1 4x1 swithc on them that works.
