I have a SV8000hd receiver and I have a couple of questions in the dish setting menus. I have no clue what Legacy Switch means in the dish setting menu and what pilot means in the transponder menu.

"Pilot" is another option used for DVB-S2 signals: On and Off are the options

I believe "Legacy Switch" is another name for a MultiSwitch - a Switch that has more than 1 receiver connected to it - like those used for DirecTV and DishNetwork

Under "Legacy Switch", does it list any models?
Perhaps: SW21, SW64?
If so, those are old DishNetwork switches.
Hacker boxes often have/had support for 'em.
