Lip sync off on DVR

Am wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it's just my equipment. When I record shows on Verizon FIOS Motorola box, during playback there is always a lag between sound and the lips.

I have a 5.1 Samsung surround sound setup and wonder if it's due to that. However, I never had the problem with the same setup with my DISH PVR.

I can "fix" it by cycling through the Samsung menu back to "digital in" but doing that several times an hour is extremely annoying.

Anyone else have this and were you able to fix it?
 
I've noticed micro-studders, and unplugging the box for about 15 seconds fixes it. Might try it on your problem as well, but I'm not sure.

I would like to think I would notice this issue if I had it, but I have not noticed it on my equipment. I am using the Dolby 5.1 as well and the only difference I notice is that the volume seems to be slightly lower than the regular stereo connection, but I do not notice any out of sync (sound with image) issues.
