Here is a list of Problems I have found with AZbox HD
Premium Plus Box.

1. Azbox HD Premium Plus will blind scan and find Tp's and then the next time you find no TP wait afew mins and it blind scan just fine.

2. Azbox HD Premium Plus will blind scan and find Tp's find Tp's and then it will not lock on some them. Then it will a show picture for 1 or 2 seconds and say no signal or just lock up.

3. Azbox HD Premium Plus will blind scan and find the wrong SR for example SR should be SR 3000 Az HD Premium Plus will find it at 2997 off by three and if you manually change it will have not have any signal or show no picture.

4. Azbox HD Premium Plus will delete half of your channel list and satellite list once you reboot or turn off your IRD. It does not do this everytime you reboot just once in a while.

I am curious regarding the SR issue. When it blind scanned and found the symbol rate to be 2997, was it able to lock on and display the video and audio? It it did, what made you decide to change this to the 3000 SR? Was this merely for curiousity?

I have found, with a Coolsat 5000 receiver, that I was able to manually alter the both the symbol rate and the transponder frequency quite a bit without losing lock on the signal and retaining good video and audio quality.

This was especially true of the symbol rate. I could actually alter the SR by a very good amount before the signal lock was lost.

I have also noticed that with my Premium (standard, not plus) model that I have on occasion been required to alter the TP frequency by +/- 1MHz to be able to capture the channel, although it shows a lock on the TP itself with no problem.

Yes on most of them that was off by 3 I was able to lock in on them. But some it found on the blind scan I was not able to lock in on them.
