List of HD Channels NOT Available on Dish Network

MSNBC HD has been confirmed available in certain areas of Texas, so I'm leaving it in the current list. MavTV HD I am moving to the Not Yet Launched list. I am leaving Crime & Investigation Network HD on the list too because THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENTERTAINMENT has it listed. I'll update that one if I get anymore information.
 

If you watch the video from the link it says coming soon when it gets to the Crime & Investigation Network HD spot.
 
As for MSNBC I can't find anything on their website that says they broadcast in HD. I would say they are not available.
 
I'm not sure if it's TRULY in HD yet, but MSNBC HD is available in a few select Texas markets. Hallmark Channel HD apparently is in a select few markets now as well. Maybe they haven't officially launched yet or something.

Comcast Sportsnet Northwest

Here is another RSN. Oregonians want their HD Blazer games.
 
I found out about MSNBC HD and Hallmark Channel HD from MAJOR digging. According to a few smaller forums on the net, MSNBC HD is available in Houston on select cable systems and a few other cities in Texas, at least. Hallmark Channel HD is apparently available in certain markets, but it has NOT officially launched yet. Not sure how to classify that one since it's not true HD. I will leave it in the Available But Not on Dish Network for now. Got Comcast SportsNet Northwest as well.

75% of the "HD" channels listed carry very little HD, but lots of upconverted SD (streched or zoomed).

P.S. - I think my estimate is probably low.
 
 
So that's 60 HD channels that Dish doesn't have, but could have (disregard the fact that some are stretch-o-vision because many of the ones Dish has are stretch-o-vision or show little true HD). If you subtract the HD-PPVs (which you should because you can't view them with any available monthly package unless you pay each time) and subtract the multi-counts for the regional sports networks and only count them once because that's all a subscriber can see, then you have Dish with about the same number of HD channels as they don't have. Not very impressive; Turbo my butt.

Every heard of the Multi Sports Pack for $5.99? That adds all the RSN channels. Sure blackout still apply to baseball but you can see all the college sports games from around country.
 
Wondering about Mojo...

Is Mojo even available for satellite reception? I thought it's predecessor, INHD was cable only?
