I live in Dothan AL nbc out of new york is our nbc locaL Locals in montgomery al will be coming on in october.will i be able to get nbc out of montgomery for one my local ?

Doesn't D* have locals from Dothan ?

They show up on the tp maps.

(CBS Dothan is the de-facto CBS in Panama City)

unknown but probably not. I think they try and keep what SV channels are for the market which is Panama City

So Dothan channels are not on D* they are actually from Panama City ?

I looked up the channels in Dothan and found several on the list, so I thought they were available from there.

Dothan doesnt have a NBC in the market
Panama City doesnt have a CBS in the market

Both are owned by the same folks so they "share" those 2 stations. Dothan gets Panama City NBC and PC gets Dothan CBS as a "de-facto" network. Since PC isnt available on D* they are giving Dothan the national NBC from NY.

Then again, the OP is looking for Montgomery , I think, I just thought that Dothan was not available for him, but thats not entirely true.

no I understand what he is saying. Right now he has NBC from NY. When D* launches Montgomery in HD he is wondering if they will give him that NBC (from Montgomery) instead of the national NBC.

IN those Dothan counties the Montgomery NBC is a SV station so D* could give them that once they launch Montgomery

I'm in PC and Iceberg is 100% correct. But, PC will be getting locals added in 1Q 2011 so I would "assume" that once they come online, Dothan will pickup the NBC from PC since it will then be uplinked to D*. I say this as they (Dothan) are probably getting a blanket waiver from WJHG (NBC-PC) to air the national NBC until they come online in 2011 knowing that WTVY (CBS) & WJHG (NBC) will then be cross-shared.
