Locals fee and OTA question ViP722

Ok, if I dont sub to locals, I know I wont get OTA guide data, but can I still tune to the OTA channel and set manual recordings?

That sucks. I only record one OTA show on the 722, Supernatural, because I have a TiVo for everything else. Sucks that I've been paying $5/mo for something I could have done manually. What will it say, just digital service for everything?

As long as I can do manual recording OTA, I could care less.

My son and I have (with shows my wife recorded).... Changed "Days of our Lives" to "Nights of our Lives" and other silly things.

From memory ? Ummm, go into the DVR menu, select a program as if you were going to watch it, i.e. where the "Start" button is. I think there will be an "Edit" button.

It's quirky though... Only the first letter can be capitalized, so "House MD" will become "House md" or "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" becomes "Extreme makeover: home edition". At least this was a limit on 622s. I have a 722K now but haven't tried it. Also, renaming a show will confuse the "Groups" feature. "House MD" and "House md" will now be considered two un-related programs and not grouped together anymore.
