Locals issue (64801)

Since launch June 16thish?

Channel KSNF16 has had severe pixelation and freezing images. Audio is not affected, I also want to add this is the only local channel affected.

It has the same visual issues as if one was using an OTA reciever and had signal problems.

I am unsure which exact transponder is used for this channel, but I would guess it is not a signal issue as when the signal is recieved it is clear.

I also wanted to be clear. This is not a "certain time of the day" this issue has basically made this channel unwatchable since launch

so its just as simple as calling D* and informing them of the problem?

I would think they would have been able to see this. do they not monitor there signals being recieved?

Agreed !

This is something that was common when a lot of new channels went "Live" awhile back, haven't seen it to much lately.
Chances are D* is working on it, but it's always better to let them know, just in case.

Of course, be prepared to hear that it is the other persons fault

So

D* says "we do not see any issues in our system"
Affliliate says "the same signal is provided to both Dish and Directv
(Parents have E* and have had locals for ever and they have never experienced this problem)

I just lol, we launch with 2 locals and only one is watchable

They do monitor the signals but there are so many locals to monitor one might get missed

Hopefully someone will chime in soon. That would certainly help narrow down the source of the problem.

Anyone talk to the local station yet ?
Call or email the Chief Engineer usually works.
Numbers and email addresses are usually on the websites.

Someone on the other board also reported pixelation on the NBC affiliate as well.
