So what's with Dish with long hold times to get a rep?

Yea I am not here to complain about Fox, since I have OTA with Dish.

But apparently my whole system went down for a signal loss on a clear night and making sure their no animals having a time of life sitting on my dish....

I remember last time, it takes 1-5 min to get a rep, but now 30min WTH?
Trying to figure why am I losing signal on clear day, or at night at random

And if to the people who are pissed that dish removed your channels, don't blame dish CMON blame the stupid Fox.

Starting to smell fake posts?
Not a fake post, I not mad at Dish, since I pay the lowest amount with existing customer rate, taking advantage of the free OTA a while back they were giving out, so I could care less my fox is gone lol.
But I am trying to get support to figure why is my signal going in and out on clear day's since this been happing for a week.

I apologize! Usually it's a one and done post with no response. I hope you get it fixed, sounds like maybe the signal is too low, maybe needs to be re-aimed or something is getting in the way?

It's fine. :)
I did get rep from dish, and she got me a tech visit for the next day.
I did ask them nicely why they the hold times were longer than usual they told me due to "angry sports fans",
and to the SPORTS FANS, GET OF THE PHONE FROM DISH quit hogging the support lines. Go bug Fox they need it more.

If Dish won’t pay up and get the sports channels we are paying for, then I hope they go bankrupt. I don’t care if other people don’t want to pay for them, just do it anyway. These carriage disputes will destroy this company.

Not to hate on Direct Tv
But would rather pay the "extra" increase in the bill?
Say next month your bill goes 76.99 to 82.99.
Not sure how would you like that lol.

FWIW:

My wait time yesterday to cancel Dish (unrelated to disputes): ~21 Minutes
My wait time to cancel DirecTV in 2017 (related to moving): ~30 Minutes

I honestly was expecting to wait a lot longer. That said, I am not sure why a technical support call would be routed to the same pool as people calling to hate on Dish for disputed channels.

the problem is that our bills increase anyway
if the disputes actually saved the customer any $ that would be one thing, but they just up the "fees" & say that the
programming cost stays the same.
It is all a game. I understand every business has to make a profit to survive, but they also have to have customers to survive

Hate to tell you this, but that argument is BS. They all say it’s to save us money, but rates go up every year.

Yeah, they need to stop saying that, and tell us they are fighting for more flexibility and consumer choice, like we already have with the Flex Pack and optional locals.

And if they didn't negotiate and just paid whatever the channel owners wanted as some here have suggested? Would rates go up the same amount either way, do you think?

I don’t know, but I’m fine with it. I’m not fine with not having what I signed up for, and being held to a contract.

They need a call back system. If they have one I'm not aware of it because I haven't had to call them for almost a year and a half, and I'm not going to call them over the lost channels unless they come out and say they're giving out $50. discount to your bill until the disputes are over.:D

They do have a call back system. I used it recently within the last couple of months.

There was one poster here that said they used the callback for a 30+ minute wait but never did get a call back.

Yeah, I didn't get a callback option, and that would've been nice.

I guess Dish has Directv beat when it comes to cancelling service :)

I bet if you called to order new service wait times are less than 30 seconds
