Is that what they said when you retired?
Well, as a matter of fact , yes they did. In fact we old timers with close to 20 years at Texas Department of Criminal Justice have all been abandoning ship because of the low pay , the changing pension plans that make you have to be 62 to retire now after Sept of 2014, surprise! you are staying over after your regular 12 hour shift and forced to stay another 4 hours to work a 16 hour shifts /12 hours of over time on your days off , bad working conditions- no a/c in the summer and no ventilation with sealed shut windows in the pods, treated worse than the inmates by your supervisors and administration ,etc. I could go on with even more bad descriptions ,but you get the drift.

By the way they are now offering $4000.00 bonus if you hire and go to my old unit in Beaumont ,Tx : Stiles Unit. Now you know there has to be some truth to what I posted, if they are willing to pay $4000.00 to stay at least one year at a unit as a correctional officer. Oh, If you quit before the year is up, they take the $4000.00 back out of you final pay and pension benefits. :wtf2

Got to love being a rat at the state of Texas.:stooges
