I am looking for a 12' surface with a high F/D. - somewhere close to western North Carolina. My use is 1296MHz EME (moonbounce).

Damn, at that frequency, even the beat up Paraclipse posted a few weeks ago, would be dandy!
They're 12', with perf panels, I think

And a much more fitting life than a gazebo shade! ;)
 
I've found good dishes at local TV and radio stations, especially when they are moving or upgrading. They often have surplus gear that may be outdated or taking up space in storage etc. Get to know the engineering staff (as a ham you may already know some of them), never know what they may throw your way!
