You can probably find a universal that'll control it. Sadoun used to have one on their website that handled most fta receivers. You may find one of our current sponsors sells a similar one too. Somebody mentioned ebay sellers not too long ago, but I don't use ebay.

You might check out your local Walmart for a universal remote. They have different brands and some do have FTA receiver brands listed in the codes on the packages. Read the fine print or take a chance and try out Walmart's lenient return policy if it does not work! ;)

AMC1-I remembered I bought one of those RCA universal remotes for my grandmothers tv not long ago, and kept the paperwork. Managed to locate it just now and looked>there is ONE code listed in the Devices manual for Fortec Star, and ONE code for Coolsat. Those are the only 2 fta-sounding names listed under the Satellite Devices list. The thing was less than ten dollars US, if you can get one at wallyworld, it is the RCA RCR3312W, controls 3 devices (TV< SAT+One other).

That might be a different model from the one I bought for my grandmother then. It's kinda oddball shaped thing, but it worked her tv ok.
The universal from Sadoun or one of the vendors might be best bet, though it might be possible to find a factory replacement for that receiver, maybe on ebay.

I used to have a Fortec Lifetime Ultra that I got real cheap at a garage sale with no remote. Read somewhere that a pansat 2500 remote would control it. I decided to take a chance and got one at ebay for around 8 dollars and it did work, controlling menus and all.
