Losing HD Absolute. Any suggestions?

I won't say WHO, I removed his e-mail on purpose. Just try ceo or the executive #. Re the DVR fee..if you don't have a DVR try and get it removed. People may want to know the HD equivalents for LatinoMAX are in the 5300 range. I could have SWORN a key difference between DOS and MAX was the Science Channel Addition. Plus, remember seeing a Planet Green Logo. I can't find either now. Plus, Playboy en Espanol is in red. Not that I want it, but something seems wrong. Was I wrong?

I got it. All I had to do was try to change the program package on line. The calculator showed the 2 credits so all I had to do was tell the agent what had happened there.

It wouldn't let me do it online. When I clicked submit it gave me an error message saying I had to call.

Well, i went to LatinoMAx for about a half hr. I did not like it. Playboy espanols PQ blows A$$ and the channel list is all jacked up. Not worth $57.99. I then switched to Dish america. Channel list kind of like absolute. But, missing alot.

Change sucks "doesn't it"? You get used to something for so long and anything different just doesn't seem right!

It looks just the same as the English version. The channel order different but I never paid any attention to that any way.

Glad your enjoying it. I'm likeing the everything pak much better. But, after the credits something will have to change and i'll look at LatinoMax again. I've never seen the english version of Playboy so i can't compare. But, from what little i seen of Playboy espanol last night the PQ wasn't very good at all. Why don't they have Playboy HD? I thought it existed at one time. But, i could be wrong?

I just signed up for Direct via Costco. It took a bunch of tries, but I was finally able to get the referral and the extra $5 off to stick. Install scheduled March 5.

Sorry Charlie, I would have stuck with you if you offered more than $10 credit.

Nope hasn't been an HD version of it. Have heard that there is to be one. It's OK but it is SD and so the PQ is not real good. I don't know if EA has better PQ or not but that is what I have.

Okay i thought i saw it on Galaxy 23 a long time ago along with all the other porn distribution feeds. EchoStar 9/Galaxy 23 at 121.0°W - LyngSat Its not there now. There is a tidbit on the forum that it was supposed to be on Voom. From what i can tell from the post it never happened.

But, now that i think about it after reading the old post. It may have well been spiceHD that i seen on Galaxy 23. Maybe some other Cband guys would know?

Ya, I can't believe the prices Charlie gets for the XXX rated channels. With all the porn on the internet available for little $$$ and even free. You would think it would be a hard sell given the lower than SD quality that is offered.

I just got off the phone with a csr who claims that she sees a $20 credit on my account that was applied on 2/2. She also claimed that on my next statement I will will only owe $5.30!? I don't know why I ever bothering calling customer service - if I called again I'm sure I would get a different story. When I called right after I got the "DishHD Absolute programming you subscribe to will no longer be available" letter, the csr had know idea what I was talking about.

Of course he knows. But, all satelitte companies will charge the remaining customer's more and more $$$ as thier subscriber base dwindles. Just ask the 4DTV guys.

For now I'll be sticking with the 200 package. It is not what I wanted channel or price wise. The wife & I have been discussing this over the past couple of weeks, she wanted hgtv at the least, I just wanted to cut the cord altogether & use ota & roku. We decided we would go bare bones and go with da for $34.99 because it included hgtv. Well, I screwed up big time by not changing before the automatic switch. Last night about this time we were switched to the AT 200, this is prime time for my better half's TV viewing & after a couple hours of her being able to experience this package she decided we just have to keep it. I belly ached profusely, but this woman waits on me hand and foot & has done so for nearly 20 yrs. Forgive me mother, but, Barbie Jo has has taken care of me way more than you did. So I'll bite the bullet & go with the flow.

I will now be looking at either Direct or U-verse. Dish has handled this wrong and I will be looking forward to getting rid of them.

I did call last night(dish loyalty). I was only able to get the $10 monthly credit for a yr, hd free for life, platinum free for 1 yr, & as a bone, starz for a 1yr. Whoopee..............

Same deal I got....maybe if they would have done a bit more than the $10 I might keep them. I can care less about the free plat and free starz. I dont find us watching any of the additional channels...we do miss the nat geo though. Decisions decisions on who to go to. Or maybe just cut the pay tv out and stick with OTA, Boxee, and netflix.
