I hace two HD dvr's, each connected to a separate a/v sysem. I have had this setup for quite a while and always had the DD 5.1 audio.
Using the digital optical audio output, I no longer get DD from either box. Both receivers indicate pcm audio from the optical connection.
I have Dish hd as well and each receiver locks in the DD 5.1 output, so I know that my own equipment is fine.
Any clues?

To follow up on this uninteresting thread---all I needed was to have them rehit my box, and dd 5.1 was restored.
