I have a 1002 dish with the Dish Hopper & single Joey setup. I recently lost tuner 3 during my check switch test. I borrowed another neighbors lmb and his worked fine when (check switch) but when I reinstall my existing lmb and retest then once again I loose tuner 3? Its strange to me as I still have tuner #1&2 just not #3.

My Setup
3 head lmb with F connector #1 connected to>hybrid solo hub ODU port.
Hopper/Sling > connected to > solo hub Host port.
Joey >connected to Client port on hybrid solo hub.

I have a few questions if I may,
1) How does the hybrid lmb supply signal for tuner #3?
2) Is there a way to fully test an lmb with a meter like a Birdog signal meter? Since mine seems to only be partially impaired?
3) How do I know which specific lmb i can use to replace my bad one? I believe I have a Dish Pro Hybrid lmb? There are a few out there that look almost identical?
I am good at breaking down and resetting up the system but when things like this happen it is unknown to me? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Call DISH , TECH dept. and ask for a replacement LNB. That is the fastest way to get it fixed. Might have to pay shipping cost but a new LNB is what you need to fix your setup. Take down the information on your lnb and tell them what you are seeing and they should be able to help you.

I'm sure they would want to roll a truck...

"I borrowed another neighbors lNb and his worked fine" (low noise block feed).
If swaptronics works, then swaptronics is what you need.
Microwave devices are difficult to repair properly. And being DN, the components may be unobtanium.
Facebook marketplace, eBay. If you are going to have to pay to get a tech come out. And you've already determined the fix.
You know the next step.
