Manual timer bug

I setup a manual timer (to only record a portion of a 3 hour news program) every weekday and to only save ONE copy, but instead it seems to save EVERY copy it records. Anyone else aware of this bug? Or anyone know any work-arounds?

Well, I had a keep minimum recordings # using EPG for timers, and the stupid box (722) would sometimes record and keep more than the # I set it for. It was intermittent or hit and miss. There could be a bug of some type related to the keep # of recordings.

The number of recording kept (at least on satellite channels) is the number set plus the number protected plus possibly any aborted recordings. Manual recording may not be limited.

They why isn't the option to change the value greyed out and the user blocked from changing it? Leaving it available to change (when it supposedly isn't supported on manual recordings) is very misleading -- and a bug itself. :rant:
