Entertainment Tonight (ET) Timer Issue

Two days in a row now ET has failed to record in my Hopper 3 Plus. I set a timer in my other Hopper 3 and it records OK. WickedStepMom, did your ET timer work this morning in your H3+?

Who ever is the dishes, guide provider sucks, a program could have the same "title/name" but fail to record cause the meta data is different, general speak when the "thumbnail" image for timer is stock image or diffrent from the norm the timer will not trigger even if the "titles/name" is the same.

This has been problem since they original change guide provider, then it got changes again as far as I am aware and no better. I recently tried to record the "red dwarf" series and found out the 1st episode and few other episodes was not being seen by the timer despise it being the same name, so i had to make separate timer for that, it all went in the "red dwarf" folder for series though.

There many channels that do thing similar to this, Cartoon Network comes to mind, it will record show once week for 3 week straight then show next 2 week wont record do to "meta data" is wrong despite the name/title correct, in these cases it has wrong thumbnail image or stock image for channel, then original time will start working again.

I been complain about for more then 5 years now, to dish mostly cause the people in house complain there timers are not working. not to mention how there season/episode tend to be wrong and some time show random episode "x" though when the happens the first air date is correct though I seen times where first air date was wrong too

Dish need to fix there guide issue plain and simple, before they initial changed there guide provider there was no such issues

Charles, take a look at channel 32.1 at 11:30PM. If it isn't in the Dish local channels look at it OTA.

It's not there. It's a program called Comics Unleashed. I'm pretty sure local CBS out of St Louis has removed ET.

Dish guide reads correctly for ET on channel 241 at 5:30 am CST. I checked the timer night before and it was good. Next morning there was no recording. This has happened last two days. So I deleted the timer and created a Weekdays manual timer. Will see how it goes. I don't see a need to move my thread.

ET recorded this morning using a manual Weekdays timer in my Hopper 3 Plus. In my other Hopper 3 the regular timer also worked. I am happy happy again.
