I've been toying with the idea of replacing the ViP 722 we use for our vacation home with a pair of ViP 211s to eliminate the DVR fee. We're not doing much recording but like/need the pause / rewind feature. So the question is, do I need to do this now before the Oct 1. ViP sunset? The ViP 211k has been in use since I moved to the Hopper 3, but not on this account. Sounds like I would need to make a trip in September to get it all set up.
Or, it looks like I could replace the ViP 722 with a Wally (or pair of) cheap enough.

The only feature lacking would be the tv 2 feature. Now if they would also add the Prime time anytime feature that can use one tuner to record all the big four local networks, you could get by with just this receiver and save the dvr fee. It would really be a nice receiver for people like my parents who watch a lot of locals and some cable like networks.
