Seems that we are due for some increased solar activity, scheduled to hit the planet beginning tomorrow afternoon (about 3PM Eastern time). For more info, see http://www.spaceweather.com/

There will probably be an increase in auroral activity as well.

What impact can such conditions have on satellites such as our friends the DBS birds?
