As the title states I'm interested in meals out of the ordinary but by that I mean meals that you've prepared in out of the ordinary locations such as camping or at work or on vacation away from home.

Forgot that I had started this thread.

My father showed us ( scouts ) how to cook an egg in an orange peel. Basically he cut an orange in half then scooped out the good stuff and used the rind as a cup pouring in two eggs and cooking it over a fire. I had to ask him when would a scout find himself stranded in the Florida country side with a carton of eggs and not be within walking distance of a days in motel.

do I dare ask?

It doesn't say to use a smelly, old, gross garbage can you've had out in the garage for years and years. :)

yeah...get a brand new garbage can and use it to cook a turkey...

Like making tondoori chicken in a flower pot. You don't use one that actually had dirt in it...
