Media Share on a Mac

Hi all,

I have heard that some people are using TVersity and other media servers to share video to their HR-21's. I have an old XBox running XBMC solely to watch videos off of my computer. I'd love to ditch the Xbox.

My computer, however, is a Mac.

I'm wondering if anyone is having any success using any media servers on a Mac to stream to the HR-21?

I have an old Windows PC I've been using to feed a D-Link media extender, but I rather not use that if at all possible.

I have used both Twonky and EyeConnect with my Mac Mini. Both offer a 30-day free trial (and EyeConnect will support music sharing beyond that for free). Both work fine, although there are still some issues with sharing in the DVR itself, requiring occasional reboots.

I have run some of my DVDs through MPEG Steamclip, converting to a MPEG2 Transport Stream and renaming the .ts file to .mpg. They play fine on my HR20 and HR21.

Yes. Hopefully these features will be added.

Hard modded by the original owner. If I get the HR-21 working as well as the xbox does I'll let you know.
