Microsoft begins rollout of March Xbox One software update

I have already had this update from the early update program. The main difference is that DD5.1 is now supported as an output instead of just DTS and 5.1 PCM. It doesn't matter to me because I use an AVR with HDMI support so 5.1 PCM with no added compression would be the optimal format for me.

If you have a gaming headset with DD5.1 support, like a Turtle Beach or Astro, this is a big deal though. They don't support DTS so those people were limited to 2.0 PCM on their fancy headsets. Now they will finally get the 5.1 sound they have been using on their PS4 and PS3/360 they were getting for years.

The other big change is that party chat is now turned on by default when you join a party with your friends. This is how it worked on 360 and the way they had it set up on Xbox One was just strange. First you had to invite people to the party then you had to get them to switch from game chat to party chat.
