Hey guys! I am in San Francisco at Microsoft Build. It's a developer's conference, but Microsoft often uses this annual event for new product announcements: new Windows versions, new devices, etc. I'll post my impressions, and perhaps pictures if I see something interesting.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is expected to have an opening keynote in less than 3 hours from now: at 8:30 AM Pacific. I think a live-stream will be available on the Internet. Check it out!

About to start...

Did they say anything specific about the update or just some bug fixes?
Some UI changes - I'll explain later.

Basically the user interface is tweaked to better support mouse and keyboard users, those without touch screen. The start screen has shutdown icon at the top, right-click now opens context-sensitive menus, etc.

I'll see if I can download the Update later tonight and play with it a bit.

Yeah was just reading if you are a MSDN member who can get it now, the rest will have to wait until Tuesday the 7th.

Installed the update. It's not too big: 700 MB or so. Actually a collection of 6-7 updates.

Another keynote starts shortly. I think this one will be about Microsoft Cloud solutions.
