Including the end of last season, the Red Sox are 8-20 in their last 28 at Fenway. Way to celebrate the anniversary....:o

One of the talking heads said it best, talking about the difference between last year and this year: last year the Red Sox got off to a bad start, this year they're just a bad team.

Cole Hamels suspended for five games for intentionally throwing at Bryce Harper.

The Nats GM went ape sh!7 on Hammels calling him a "fake tough guy" and "chicken sh**" and when Hamels stated he was "old school", he stated "he is clueless to what old school is". Then finished it off by stating "go after a rookie with only 8 days in the the majors, they have no clue who they are messing with...!"

Let the war of words begin...

I think the whole thing is being blown way out of proportion.

Then again, had Hamels not opened his mouth, it would have gone away.

Exactly. They already have a "skid mark" in their 2nd baseman, Chase Utley...and then they picked a 2nd douche in the offseason on Pappelbon... The team is loaded with them... LOL!

The Red Sox called up the hot hitting Will Millbrooks to replace Youkilis at third while he is injured. If Middlebrooks can hit .260 or better. look for the Red Sox to exercise their $1 million buyout of Youkilis's $13M team option for next year..

From ESPN.com:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Will Middlebrooks homered down each of the lines ... and the Boston Red Sox pounded the Kansas City Royals 11-5 on Monday night to snap a five-game losing streak.

Middlebrooks, called up last week when Kevin Youkilis went on the disabled list, hit a three-run shot in the first inning and a two-run homer in the eighth, becoming the first player in Red Sox history with at least one extra-base hit in each of his first four major league games.

He also hit a grand slam in Boston's 17-inning loss to Baltimore the previous night.

I mean this kid is SCARY strong. You heard the bat break...he still hit it in a line drive ....wow... I am still in awe of his power. He had NO spring training so he is finally heating up.

And, as you well know, seeing him on TV gives you no real idea of how BIG a man he is. I saw him last year when they played in SoCal and was in awe of his size. I know that he is a "Gentle Giant" from all reports and interviews...but I would NOT want to get that man angry!!!!

There is a youtube video of him taking BP and hitting balls complete OUT of Dodger stadium. Rumor has it he hit a few balls in Wrigley last year during BP before a game completely OUT...IN DEAD center field...

Definitely a reason to keep watching.

Only three have done it during an actual game and one did it twice, do you know who they are?

One was a Dodger and the other two were not
