Don't they have an option like they do for the Gardians and now the Tigers ?
Ok, TSC our cable company finally gave in and put the Reds and the Tigers on the cable channels. They didn't announce it or anything on their website.I only found it by chance from a friend who rescanned his tv and found it.😄

The computers should be able to track the baseball in three dimensions. The determining factor should be the existing rules. If the entire area of the Home Plate is considered, the Automated system should be adjusted to match.

You would have Hoped that would have been the case, I always thought it was any part of the plate, front, back or whatever.
I Hope they correct that.

The Reds need to fire their GM. He has no business being in the business with the stupid moves he has made in the last 10 years or however long he has been doing it.

Guardians are second best team in AL****. Gives them a bye... and they likely play either 0.500 Houston (3rd seed *cough*) or the White Sox in divisional series. Guardians are one of the best run franchises in the MLB. The strong AL East will see either the Red Sox or Yankees depart, though both squads had a drop in form at the end of season, though it seemed set in stone where they were going to be playoff run wise with Tampa being so high.

All we can truly hope is for NY and LA not to be in the World Series. But it'd be nice to see the Guardians finally win one.

The playoffs are the one time of the year I actually pay attention to MLB. I've already set all Postseason Events to record on YTTV. Thanks to their carriage of NBC Sports Network I can pretty much get everything in one spot since Peacock is the only streaming service I don't subscribe to.

In true fair sporting fashion, Tampa will take on the 5th seeded (second best AL record) NY Yankees while Cleveland, the 2nd seeded (fourth best AL record) will take on the 6th seeded (5th best AL record) Chicago White Sox.

Hopefully unlike the Chicago v Cleveland World Series, the locals can attend these games in Cleveland. The Guardians have a great shot at getting to another ALCS.

The Yankees payroll is greater than the three other teams in the AL playoffs combined! The LA Dodgers' roster is likely around one-quarter the US GDP, but I'd need to fact check that claim.

I actually do tune into the Dodgers games occasionally, as they have bought up all the players I use to root for on thier original teams .
Mookie Betts (Red Sox), Kyle Tucker (Astros), Tarik Skubal (Tigers).
Possibly others ... if each team had kept thier players (I know they sign these astronomical contracts that most teams can't afford, have they ever actually thought about a Salary Cap) they probably would still be winning and not watching the playoffs .... Astros and Red Sox anyways.

The owners want a salary cap which is why baseball is expected to shut down on Dec. 1 this year and next season be canceled. The players association will never accept a salary cap and I don't blame them. Owners should be able to control themselves but they want the players to fix their utter stupidity.

Technically MLB already Has a Salary Cap ... they just let those that don't mind paying more money to go around it ...
Which allows teams with the biggest spenders to keep buying players ... Dodgers/Yankees were looking at you ... theres a few others, Mets come to mind ...
Then theres the other end of the spectrum, those that truly can't afford ...
Then theres the ones that Can afford if they Choose to, but don't ... Red Sox, sometimes Cubs, Cubs probably go in the 1st group, but decide not to most of the times.

Then theres the teams that Could, if thier ownership would open the purse strings ... Tigers, I'm looking at you (and others)

I've followed the Tigers since the 60's.
Mike Illitch was a GREAT Man ... (I know he didn't own it all that time) ...
He said, when we get better and need a few players, he's get them, and he did when they got to a competitive state, and they were good for a long time.
When Mr. I passed, the Red Wings and Tigers (he owned both) went downhill, the teams went to his family members, who appear to not care about the Teams and just want the gravy ... they refuse to put the money into the teams for the most part, which has made it Sad.

The Fords were the same with the Lions, until Shelia Ford took over.

If the Tigers Owners wanted to Win, they could be getting the players as well, but they really don't want to ...
