The hd feed for the kdfw feed has now also going to be available on fs southwest outside of Dallas for this game. It appears they are going to give us the hd feed for those this year. It' unclear if the hd feed will be added to mlb extra innings for mondays game. However, they have now added 720-1 to the channel lineup.

It's looking doubtful that the Rays-Red Sox game will be played tomorrow. We're expecting heavy rain in the area tomorrow afternoon. If the game is called, it will be made up Tuesday at 2:05.

Tigers WILL get thier opening series in this year, they play in Toronto, indoors.

Actually, I would imagine they have a back up game , like most other times.

They don't. Blacked out areas on cable would receive espnnews instead. They don't do alternate games. If they put any baseball it would be the game already airing on espn2 or in the case of espn2 on espn. This is another reason why they don't do double hitters. If something is rained out they can show what ever they want and it probably won't be baseball related.

I just picked up the MLB At Bat iPhone app, which now includes Gameday Audio. I'm interested to try this out. It says all home broadcasts, and select away broadcasts. We'll see what their idea of 'select' is.

What they meant by that is those road broadcasts that are available. If the road team isn't covering the game, then they won't have a road broadcast, but if the home team isn't covering it either they are using video from the diamondvision. So, either way they have video from the home team unless the road team is televising, when the home team isn't.

Then what is the point of ESPN having all these ALT. channels 210, 211 ect.

They don't have much reason for them anymore. They are blacked out to 99 percent of us, when something airs on them now. They are hold overs from a time when espn did have alternate games to go too. College football and the womens ncaa tournament are about all that are on them anymore.

Royals-White Sox opener postponed with snow in forecast

CHICAGO -- The season opener between theKansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox scheduled for Monday has been postponed because snow is in the forecast.
The game will be played Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. Opening day festivities will be held before the first pitch.
The decision to postpone this opener was made Sunday. Snow, cold and high winds are in the forecast.
This was the first time since 1982 that the opener for the White Sox was postponed because of bad weather.
