Dish is a lost cause now, who knows when

Starting to wonder if they care. Another perspective though, Cox in my area sucks so bad. They just added LifetimeHD but claim itll be end of summer before getting SciFI and USA. Talk about behind the learning curve.

As soon as Directv adds Norflok hdlils, Ill be rethinking my tv services.

There is really only one that I am looking for is Nickelodeon and I do watch the occasional MTV and VH1

You aren't missing anything really. Those three Viacom channels (offered currently on DirecTV) don't offer much, if any, HD yet. I brought this up in another post actually, when I first signed up with DirecTV. I noticed no HD in the guide for any of them or their other music channel, CMT. Some viewers chimed in and said it won't be until late fall or winter when they start airing much, if any HD. So, you aren't missing anything, yet.

I think they need to spiff up the quality of the bit rate of what they have first and use that as an advertisement point. Am I alone in wanting quality rather than quantity? All these companies wave their junk around about how many channels they have, It would be refreshing to see an ad that simply states their video quality is better than the other.

I'm lookin also now on other options, Fios is commin end of June where I'm at, so i'll be lookin to them, to me my big HD complaint now is no Harrisburg, pa locals, I e-mailed Dish awhile back(few months ago) and they said end of year I would have them, but according to the charlie chat, Harrisburg wasn't even on the list for this year, they have til end of june to tell me if this changes, or I'm off to Fios

I'm also in the Hbg dma and left Dish because I was tired of waiting for local HD. My antenna was not strong enough to get them reliably. So I've moved on to Direct.
