More info on NFL RedZone on Dish

Saw it asked many pages back about if TurboHD subs with multisport recieved the Redzone channel in HD. I can verify that as a TurboHD Silver sub w/ multisport package I did get the Redzone and it was great!

I LOVE the redzone channel.

I was watching the redzone channel instead of the game that was available on CBS and Fox. I was able to watch parts of different games and see all the important plays, no commercials! The NFL Sunday ticket seems like a waste of money.

Thanks for adding something great like this Dish!

Nothing special or worthy of a screen shot. It's the network feed (that you see on FOX or CBS) with a NFL RZ bug in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Once in a while you'll see the host, but only when there is a lull in the action.

I would, But thats a pain. Its a Live channel in Full HD that switches from game to game,or switches right to game breaking moments live, with Full announcing on all the plays , sometimes theres 2 games on a split screen if its needed, otherwise its just like watching NFL football in HD ,But you get to see the good parts of EVERY game being played. There is also a live ticker with all the score updates as well as some player news when needed. Right now Rams and Seahawks , Sorry Now Giants and Redskins
Thanks for being the first 2 to actually post about what the channel shows! :up

It only took 231 posts to find that out...;) (It would have only taken about 15 posts if the D* 'crew' didn't overload this thread):D

ST - a MUST HAVE for sports fans.

eh not really ;)
My local team will be on each week and the extra games I get via the networks (and Shaw Direct) is enough for me :)

If I can see all the highlights/scores (not just some like Sportscenter does) that is fine for a lot of fans.

Well between AAD feeds from NY, SF, LA, and Chicago. Plus my locals and RedZone channel, I was well covered today. I got every game except 3 and the redzone channel kept me up to date on the ones I couldn't see. Well worth the money!

Confirmed.

This Turbo HD Silver customer enjoyed all the best parts from the best games all Sunday! NFLRZ is freaking amazing! If my team isn't on than this is what I will be watching, no question.

And of course, I like many of you, was also told by Dish I could not do this and would not be elligable to receive the Multi Sports pack or NFLRZ. But I know better than to believe everything (or anything) a Dish rep tells me.

A "move" to my favorite teams local market + $5.99 locals + $5.99 Multi Sports pack (including NFLRZ) = Complete NFL viewing satisfaction!

Every channel that has NFL on it show live scores. But yes they are also showing live scores.

Well, I know that...I was hoping for something with a faster rundown of current scores. Generally right before the one I'm looking for comes up, they cut to a commercial! :D

I have to agree with the people who say the Redzone channel is awesome. I watched it all day yesterday. Screw the sunday ticket. I have everything I need with Dish and now the Redzone channel.

congrats the turbo subscribers finally got a new HD channel. I had Turbo Gold/Multi sport but switched to Classic Gold HD because i was told by Rep that i would not get Red ZOne. looks like i will be switching back.

With the recent additions of locals from LA, and NY through AAD.....AND now the Nfl Redzone, I feel like I have Sunday Ticket and not pay so much for it. I was able to get 8 games this week. And the 4:00 games are pretty much shown in entirety on Redzone because there isn't alot of live games going on so it was really nice. I am very satisfied!

Wait, when you add in locals from both coasts through AAD and the multi sports pack, you are not much less than what most of us got deals on for ST.

Not saying you should not be satisfied at all, just pointing out that the price difference is not that much when all of that is added in.

Edit: just went back and looked, mine worked out to $24 bucks a month for ST with free superfan over 6 months. Total of $144. Not bad there.
Of course you can use your distants all year, and I cant with ST:)

Redzone was awesome. Pulled out the tv from the back bedroom, hooked it up and switched audio from my local game to redzone everytime the game went to commercial. As a fantasy player, I felt in the loop and wasn't staring at my laptop all day for updates.

Totally worth every penny for the sports pack.

Also, I'm a turbo silver sub that added sports pack friday night and i get redzone in HD.

is HD pixelation normal from up close
