Since this is my first post in this form.I would like to say hello to everyone.
I am playing with the thought to buy a FORTEC STAR 150cm Offset Dish Antenna for KU & C band usage.
Which motor would i use with this dish size.
The sg2100 & Stab 120 HH are only rated to 17kg max load or 120cm.
Or should i just stick with a 1.2m Fortec & a Stab 120HH?

Thanks for the help!

welcome:

The DG380 motor is good to 31 lbs. I believe it's faster than the STAB, and cheaper, too.

I don't know of anyone selling the 1.5 meter Fortec in the USA. -
But 1.2m dishes are readily available from SatelliteAV (GeoSatPro), Sadoun (Fortec), and WSI/Galaxy Marketing (new model).

edit:
Considering the cost of shipping a 1.2m dish, have you considered the 1.8m (six foot) prime focus Fortec?
Equipped with a dual-band LNBF, it's a pretty good combo.

I was busy editing my post above, and didn't see your question 'till just now.
Please re-read it for more info, and links.

I'm not really a supporter of the mini-BUDs.
However, we have a lot of fellows who've found them desirable, and functional.
The guys with 1.2's seem to be pretty happy.
Here's one thread by Walrus, as an example.
