I have a question for you installers out there. I'm moving to a new address in a week. When calling Dish to change my service address, they insisted on sending out a technician for the move "install". The issue is that I've already moved the dish and recorders to the new address and whole system is working just fine. I told the Dish CSR this, but they still insisted on sending out an installer. They would not change my service address without send out an installer.
So rather than fight them, I had them schedule an appointment in a week, and then they updated my service address. Sheesh! However, the issue is that when an installer shows up in a week, there will absolutely nothing for them to do; I've already done it. Will the installer not get paid for that truck roll? I don't want to stiff the poor installer for Dish's stupid policies.
