Was considering "moving" to get the Pittsburgh locals but am concerned about the signal strength readings I'm getting. For the Pittsburgh spotbeam I get signal levels of 12-14, though it does say "spotbeam" when it locks in. Is this too low to use? FWIW, it is a cloudy day.

Unless you can get a 40 or above it isn't going to be that reliable. Looking at the 61.5 map you may be at the edge of the green line of the spotbeam. What this means you need a 24 or larger dish. http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist...=true&sort=MARKET&order=&beamMap=E16_SB30.jpg
I'm looking at 129 and you are in the area between the green and yellow. Maybe on the edge of the green again I think that you would need at least a 24" w/that bird too. http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist...rue&sort=MARKET&order=&beamMap=CIEL2_SB26.jpg

You think there are conus locals? 77 is being phased out and lil are being moved to spot beams on 61.5.

I thought I saw the Cincinnati locals were conus? Even if they moved them off conus and on to a spotbeam, I should be close enough to receive them. But yeah, selecting conus locals far from me may be a bad idea in the long run.
