Moving Question

I am moving and was wondering if anyone had any experience cancelling their current service and opening a new account at their new address to get the new account promotions that they offer. Would this work if I opened the account in my wife's name? Currently only my name in on our current account. I am trying to decide to stay with satellite or switch to cable and getting in on a promotion deal may help sway my decision...

That all depends if you have an annual commitment still or not. if you do then you can cancel your account and send back the equipment to avoid any non return equipment fees and get the new promotion in your name or your wifes name at your new address. also moving is free all you do is take your receivers with you and they will set up a new dish and everything at no additional cost. if you really want new customer promotion all you have to do is threaten to disconnect ure account and they will be more than happy to give it to you

Good question, I'm moving too and am hoping I can open a new account at the bank under my wifes name and get the $20.00 and free toaster.
